POST Physical Readiness Test
All Nevada peace officers must take the POST Physical Readiness Test (PPRT), regardless of their age, within 16 weeks of their initial date of hire as a Nevada peace officer or as part of a certified academy. Performance on the PPRT is strongly linked to the officer's physical job readiness level and his or her ability to do job-related physical tasks. The PPRT is a validated physical readiness test and measures the underlying and predictive physical fitness factors necessary to perform the essential and critical physical job tasks of Nevada peace officers.
Overview
The POST Physical Readiness Test (PPRT) is conducted over a 2-day period.
Day 1 is the Physical Fitness, Oral Interview, Psych Exam, and Fingerprinting.
Day 2 is the Drug Test in Las Vegas.
The physical fitness exam consists of:
A psychological examination and interview will be conducted after the physical examination.
All events will be done in your physical training attire.

Valid Driver’s License from any state (We DO NOT accept ID cards)

Bottled water and a cold lunch
Wear appropriate athletic clothing, BLUE JEANS AND BLUE COLOR CLOTHING ARE NOT PERMITTED
Please review the following:
DO NOT wear blue work out attire
Bring a cold lunch and plenty of water
Bring your asthma inhaler and epi-pen
You are allowed to wear a sweatband, but no head phones

Please bring the following with you to the examination:
Your Birth Certificate or proof of naturalization
Valid Driver’s License from any state (We DO NOT accept ID cards)
Your resume that you uploaded during application process at neats.state.nv.us
Bottled water and a cold lunch
Wear appropriate athletic clothing, blue jeans and blue color clothing are nor permitted.

Bottled water and a cold lunch (No refrigerator or microwave available). Please bring your lunch in a clear bag or container. Water bottles must also be clear.
